PROFESSOR Fred Binka, the Dean of the School of Public Health, University of Ghana, has appealed to African governments to strengthen their collaboration with their health research institutions to help find solutions to various diseases that afflict their people.

He called on the universities on the continent to also collaborate with the health research sites in a joint effort at generating reliable scientific data for development.

Professor Binka was speaking to the Times at the end of the annual general meeting of the Malaria Clinical Trials Alliance in Maputo, the Mozambican capital.
