AMMREN Ghana Chapter Members Visit Flood Areas In The Northern and Upper East Regions of Ghana
The Ghana Chapter of the African Media and Malaria Research Network(AMMREN) were in the Northern and Upper East Regions to assess the health status of the people, with particular attention to malaria cases and how they are being handled after recent floods in the Northern and Upper East Regions of Ghana. The floods claimed many lives over 100,000 people were rendered homeless. Malaria cases have also gone up with children being most affected. The visit helped the journalists to have first hand information about the situation on the ground and to bring to the attention of government and other development partners the real stories of the affected people for the needed action. We bring stories from their trip.
