AMMREN has organized three separate media training workshops for local journalists in the Brong Ahafo, Dodowa and Upper East regions of Ghana as part of efforts to build the capacity of journalists in malaria advocacy.
The training is part of a research being carried out by the Kintampo, Navrongo and Dodowa Health Research Centres under a project titled: ‘strengthening quality of malaria care and surveillance in Ghanaian communities.” And it is being run in collaboration with the INDEPTH Network and sponsored by Comic Relief, UK.
The media workshop was held at the Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) in the Brong Ahafo region and the Navrongo Health Research Centre (NHRC) in the Upper East region.
It was under the theme: the role of the media in strengthening quality of malaria care and surveillance in Ghanaian communities.” It was attended by researchers, health officials and journalists.
