The National Press Foundation (NPF) is offering an online fellowship on covering rare diseases. Twenty fellows will be selected for the program.
The program includes online briefings from top world experts in rare diseases, diagnostics, massive parallel genomic sequencing, artificial intelligence and medical ethics.
In addition, fellows will receive grants of up to US$3,000 to support reporting projects focused on rare diseases anywhere in the world.
The program runs Sept. 13 to 14. Fellows will attend a special program, Sept. 24, on the craft of medical journalism and storytelling.
The application deadline is Aug. 16.
